After 3 1/2 years, 20,000 volunteer hours, hundreds of thousands in donated funds and furnishings, The Northfield Cumberland Home is almost ready to open its doors.
Help us raise the working funds required to obtain our state operating license so we can open The Northfield Cumberland Home to the young women who need our help.
We currently help girls and their families get started in the recovery process through mentoring and Bible study as well as connecting them to professionals, programs, and resources to meet their unique needs.

When The Northfield Cumberland Home is fully operational, young women will gain:
• A renewed sense of self worth and understand God’s purpose for their lives
• The skills to identify root causes and triggers for eating disorders and other disordered behavior
• Resources and tools to make informed decisions about their future, and for pregnant clients, their unborn child’s future
• Life skills to equip them to successfully navigate life
Support Northfield
The Need - One new young woman is referred to Northfield every week. We are not fully operational, yet the referrals keep coming. We work with many girls who wait 4-6 months to get into programs in other states.
Anorexia has the highest mortality rate of all mental illness. Treatment is usually expensive, lengthy, with little to no insurance coverage. We work with many families who have exhausted all financial resources trying to help their daughters. They are at the end of their rope emotionally, financially, spiritually.
The Northfield Home will be the only non-profit facility of its kind in Virginia and surrounding states.
Renowned treatment centers around the country have told Northfield they need us to be open for the girls who require transitional care. So many girls need The Northfield Home NOW.
